Job description

The Financial Analyst – Transmission, supports the Transmission Division with project tracking, reporting, forecasting, and rate development. This position reports directly to the VP of Transmission, with a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Project Controls & Analytics, ensuring alignment between corporate structure and regional execution.

Responsibilities and Activities
  • Build and maintain Excel templates for weekly project revenue and cost tracking.
  • Forecast project costs
  • Integrate JDE data and coordinate updates with project managers.
  • Analyze KPIs and provide insights to project teams.
  • Consolidate project data into weekly summaries for leadership.
  • Prepare monthly reports, income statements, and review divisional transactions.
  • Support monthly financial and manpower forecasting across multiple divisions.
  • Crew productivity analysis for various options during bid and construction process planning.
  • Assist in developing wage structures and custom labor and equipment rates.
  • Calculate union wages and work with payroll to setup
Knowled ge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge: Understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and project accounting principles.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE, Ecosys, Power BI or Incorta is considered an asset.
  • Abilities: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA in progress preferred.
  • Experience: 2–4 years in financial analysis, project controls, or a related field.
