Job summary

Elby Professional Recruitment is seeking a Financial Analyst for a privately owned client in Cambridge, Ontario. The role focuses on analyzing, reviewing, and preparing financial statements, with direct reporting to the Finance Manager.

The position requires CPA near completion, 3+ years of complex analysis experience, and strong Excel/SQL skills. It is an on-site role with on-site training and reporting responsibilities to senior management.

Qualifications

• A new CPA or near completion.
• 3+ years experience from public accounting or 3+ years in an industry role focused on complex analysis.
• Must have advanced Excel skills (SQL, pivot tables)
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working fully on-site

Responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly, quarterly and yearly statements, and packages for the executive team and assist with presentations
• Complete financial and variance analysis
• Develop financial modelling to assist with forecasting, scenarios and analysis
• Work on note disclosure and financial reports
• Process complex entries and invoices, and prepare tax filings
• Continuously work on improving processes, procedures and report
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, and supporting and training the team and new hires

Our privately owned client is a leader in their industry, who is looking to hire a Financial Analyst. This individual will join a team of 5 others and report directly into the Finance Manager, with a focus on analyzing, reviewing, and preparing financial statements. You will play a key role in ensuring information is properly recorded and management reports are accurate.
