Job summary

The Mason Group – Strategic Search Partners is seeking a recently qualified CPA for a Senior Financial Analyst role in Mississauga. You will support senior leadership, lenders, investors, and external stakeholders through high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insights.

You’ll gain exposure to executive reporting, investor relations, external financial reporting, and finance transformation initiatives through a rotational development program designed to build a broad finance skillset

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or nearing completion of CPA requirements.
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, corporate finance, or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial statement preparation, and consolidations.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to analyze and communicate complex financial information.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, BPC, or similar financial systems is an asset.
  • Experience with a national public accounting firm and large-company clients is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance and business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow reporting for actual results, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
  • Lead financial analysis and reporting for lender groups, including covenant compliance monitoring and performance assessments.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual external financial statements, MD&A, earnings releases, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Develop executive-level reporting packages, including KPI reporting, financial commentary, variance analysis, and presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Analyze Investor Relations data and contribute to materials prepared for investors, lenders, the Audit Committee, and the Board.
  • Support the monthly consolidation process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of consolidated financial results.
  • Champion continuous improvement through automation, process optimization, and reporting enhancements.
  • Support finance transformation projects, including new system implementations, testing, reporting enhancements, and workflow improvements.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

Job description

Are you a recently qualified CPA working in public practice looking to move outside of audit and play a key role in corporate reporting and strategic finance? Our CPG client in Mississauga is currently recruiting an SFA for their growing team. In this role, you will support senior leadership, lenders, investors, and external stakeholders through the preparation of high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and insights. You will partner closely with various internal teams while gaining exposure to executive reporting, investor relations, external financial reporting, and finance transformation initiatives. As part of a unique rotational development program, you will gain hands-on experience across Corporate Reporting and Accounting functions, building a broad and diverse finance skillset. This role offers the opportunity to continuously learn, take on new challenges, and develop expertise across multiple areas of Finance, helping prepare you for future leadership opportunities within the organization.
