BJRC Recruiting's client in Toronto is seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to support planning, reporting and business decision-making. The role offers exposure to budgeting, forecasting and KPI analysis within a growing finance team.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in FP&A, a Bachelor’s in Finance or related field, strong Excel and data skills, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams. Hybrid work with 2–3 days in the office in Toronto.

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting and KPI analysis.
  • Prepare budget, forecast and variance analysis to identify key business drivers.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, reporting tools and analytical dashboards.
  • Analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Support bonus calculations and other recurring FP&A processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and automate reporting and financial processes.
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis, business cases and other Finance initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support informed business decisions.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to join a growing finance team and play an important role in supporting financial planning, reporting and business decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with data, building financial models and partnering with teams across the organization. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to FP&A while developing their ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial models and large datasets.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • A proactive mindset and interest in process improvement and automation.
  • Experience with ERP, FP&A or planning systems is an asset.
  • CPA enrollment or an interest in pursuing the CPA designation is an asset, but not required.
