Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) on behalf of a well-established educational institution in Calgary. The role reports to the Vice President, Growth & Initiatives and CFO, delivering financial reporting and strategic analysis to support leadership decisions.

This 3-month contract requires strong analytical skills, senior stakeholder engagement, and the ability to build robust financial models and executive-ready dashboards.

Qualifications

• CFA designation with at least 5 years of financial analysis experience.
• Direct financial analysis at progressively more senior levels.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical experience.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) on behalf of a well-established educational institution in Calgary.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly analytical finance professional to work closely with the Vice President, Growth & Initiatives and CFO, providing financial reporting and strategic financial analysis support.

Short term project:

3-Month Contract (Immediate Start)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial reports for executive leadership.
• Support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop insights and recommendations based on financial performance.
• Conduct variance analysis and reporting.
• Assist with strategic financial initiatives and special projects.
• Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Prepare executive-level dashboards, presentations, and reporting packages for senior leadership.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide scenario analysis and financial impact assessments for strategic initiatives.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by the CFO and executive team.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data used for reporting and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation required with a minimum 5 years of financial Analyst experience
• Direct financial analysis experience at progressively more senior levels
• Strong financial reporting and analytical experience
• Proactive approach to problem solving – resourceful and innovative with an ability to see the bigger picture
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
• Leadership role in Finance including interfaces with all levels of stakeholders and supervisory experience
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior leaders
• Experience working with executive stakeholders and leadership teams
