Senior Principal Accountancy Division at Brightwater

My client, based in Central Dublin, is a multi-national company, driving change in the deployment of renewable energy and the move to Net-zero. It’s products and solutions are primarily focused on renewable energy integration and smart grid applications. It has a strong reputation for delivering reliable products and solutions.

They are looking to add to their team a Financial Accountant. This role is a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop and grow in their career. The role involves accounting services for both their Irish and UK legal entities and consolidated reporting across both entities. This is a unique chance to learn about group companies and international accounting.

The role is based in Dublin with periodic travel to the UK office,

Main Responsibilities :

Month end management accounts
Hands-on involvement with migration to new SAP ERP system
Ongoing management of SAP ERP system
Accounting of supplier invoices, reconciliation with goods receipt and resolution of problems. Posting of purchase requisitions, purchase orders and invoices.
Preparation of VAT / Intrastat / ESL returns
Issuance of sales invoices - reconciliation and checking with shipments
Credit control
Maintenance of customers and suppliers accounts
Monthly cash flow forecasts
Cash management and bank reconciliations
Provision of information and support to tax advisors
Provision of information and support to external auditors
Provision of ad-hoc information to parent company
Supporting other departments, providing information and reports whenever required

Background and Experience :

Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA or finalist
ERP management experience with SAP desirable
Proficient knowledge of the Windows environment and particularly Excel spreadsheets
Ability to relate to people
Technical and professional knowledge
Analytical attitude
Ability to handle many varied activities
Strong organizational ability
Flexibility and a can-do attitude
