Job summary

Qualifications

Bookkeeper / Financial Assistant (Part-Time, Remote – Sea to Sky Corridor)

Location :

Remote, with preference for candidates based in the Sea to Sky Corridor (Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Sunshine Coast or surrounding areas)

Position Type :

Part-Time | Hourly Contract – initially, potentially leading to full time role as the company grows

Prodigy Fire Solutions Inc. designs and delivers innovative wildfire protection systems across Canada, the US, and Australia. As a growing company operating internationally, we are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Financial Assistant to support our finance operations on a flexible, part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Bank and Credit Card Management : Perform reconciliations, monitor balances, and ensure accuracy across multiple currency accounts.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable : Manage billing cycles, ensure timely collections and payments, and maintain vendor / customer records.
  • Invoicing & Expense Management : Generate and track customer invoices, and process employee / vendor expenses.
  • Payroll Support : Assist with payroll processing and accurate posting for employees and contractors across regions.
  • Job Costing & Inventory Management : Track inventory movements and allocate costs appropriately to projects.
  • Customer and Project Administration : Maintain customer records and support project-level financial tracking.
  • Compliance & Reporting : Help prepare data for tax filings, internal reports, and financial summaries.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Prior bookkeeping experience, preferably with multi-jurisdictional (Canada, US, Australia) operations
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles , A / P, A / R, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking and job costing in a project-based environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-starter comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have :

  • Knowledge of project management or CRM tools
  • Experience in construction, contracting, or field services industries
