We are seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to join our team, with potential working locations in either the Okanagan, Fraser Valley or Lower Mainland. We welcome candidates from all these areas to apply. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility in start and end times.
The Finance Systems Analyst at Emil Anderson Group will oversee and manage finance systems, ensuring smooth operation and functionality of finance software applications. Key responsibilities include optimizing financial reporting and data insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving system performance and user experience.
Responsibilities
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot problems with finance systems. Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to ensure users fully leverage the software’s capabilities.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and automation within software systems. Implement best practices and ensure software aligns with business goals to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Data Management, Tools and Reporting: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain financial tools/reports to support the EAG companies with timely and relevant information for decision making purposes. Establish best practices to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of finance software data, and heuristics to monitor ongoing issues.
- Software Administration: Manage, evaluate, and optimize all finance systems, including Vena, Vista, Vista web, and B2W ensuring their optimal performance and functionality. This includes user management, permissions, workflows, data integrations, customization of interfaces/setup, and coordinating with external vendors to resolve issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to software administration, operation, and tool/report development change logs.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with operations teams, management and support groups like IT, finance, and HR to optimize software functionality, addressing any issues or inefficiencies that arise. Make recommendations for system enhancements and improvements.
- Work closely with teams from Finance, IT, and operations to generate accurate financial and business reporting.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong technical proficiency in finance systems including Vista, Vista web, Vena, and B2W.
- Proven experience administering and configuring ERP and business applications
- Understanding of database management and data integration concepts
- Proficient in troubleshooting software issues and providing user support
- Experience developing reports and analytics using a modern toolset (Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL, etc)
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within deadlines.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify system gaps, analyze data, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and quality in system management.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and business needs, staying updated on industry best practices.
