Job summary

Aplin, in partnership with its brands, is seeking a Financial Analyst for a 10-month contract in South Edmonton. The role blends financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, process improvement, and project work within a collaborative finance team.

The candidate will prepare monthly reports, perform variance analyses, develop forecasts, and support strategic finance initiatives. CPA is an asset; 5+ years of accounting/analysis and Workday experience are preferred. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
• CPA designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial and operational reports to support business decision-making.
• Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Develop forecasts, financial models, and ad hoc reporting for management.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
• Lead and support finance-related projects, including process improvement and technology initiatives.
• Evaluate current finance processes, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and implement improvements.
• Document policies, procedures, and workflows to support strong internal controls and consistency.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives as required.]
