Job summary

Waterfront Child Development Centre Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Administrator in Sault Ste. Marie to oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, payroll, billing, reconciliations, and reporting.

You will support the Operational Lead and Board of Directors in maintaining accurate, ethical financial practices and ensuring organizational sustainability. The role requires a minimum of three years in finance, proficiency with Sage 50, Excel, and Word, and a commitment to

Qualifications

College diploma in Accounting, Business, or related field.
Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector).
Proof of required immunizations, as applicable.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in a financial or accounting role.
Experience processing payroll and government remittances.
Strong knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions and maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and on time.
Complete month-end procedures, including bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and planning.
Prepare timely monthly financial statements and reports for the Board.
