Job summary

Starlight Investments is seeking a Manager reporting to the Controller to lead the Core review team responsible for the monthly close and analysis of financial results from third‑party property managers across multiple portfolios.

You will oversee a 2–4 person team, perform variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, and drive process improvements using AI so the close is faster, accurate, and ready for investor reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years accounting/financial reporting experience.
• University degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA path preferred.
• IFRS/ASPE knowledge.
• Experience with ERP systems and Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly financial analysis and close for portfolios.
• Review variance analyses and reconcile balance sheets.
• Lead a 2–4 person Core team and mentor staff.
• Implement AI and automation to improve close efficiency.
• Support audits and regulatory filings as needed.
