Job summary

Starlight Investments seeks a Controller to manage the overall financial operations across multiple entities. You will oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements, while guiding a team and coordinating with property managers.

You will lead annual audits, tax-related processes, and treasury activities, driving improvements in internal controls and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• CPA designation strongly required.
• Minimum 5 years progressive real estate experience; 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Experience overseeing audits by external audit firms.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations for the portfolio and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for each portfolio.
• Coordinate and oversee annual external audit processes.
• Manage treasury and cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Develop and mentor finance staff and drive internal controls.
