Job summary

FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in Ontario is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day finance and accounting, multi-year budgeting, and financial reporting, while supervising the Finance and Administrative Associate and the Resources and Strategic Initiatives Associate.

You will collaborate with the Director of Resources and Strategic Initiatives and HR Generalist to ensure compliance, effective controls, and alignment with PAC goals, delivering accurate financial insights and

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ recent accounting experience in hospitality, tourism or performing arts.
• Experience with supervising staff is preferred.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• Experience with ERP and Momentus is an asset.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s license, Class G, with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting transactions and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Lead annual audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Monitor budget progress, variances and action corrections.
• Provide financial data and guidance to PAC departments to ensure accurate transactions.
• Conduct revenue/expense analysis for events, grants, sponsorships and fundraising.
