Middlesex County seeks a Manager of Finance in Ontario to lead financial operations and steward the County's resources. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Treasurer, you will oversee portfolios such as accounting, budgeting, payroll, and cash management, and provide analysis to departments.

This full-time role requires a university degree in accounting or finance, at least five years of progressive experience, three years in management, and a valid Ontario driver’s licence; a criminal record

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of management or supervisory experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Class "G" Ontario driver's licence and have access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
• Current Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to Middlesex County.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and management for the County's financial operations and support effective stewardship of financial resources.
• Lead assigned portfolios within the Finance Department (e.g., accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, banking and cash management).
• Ensure compliance with legislation, accounting standards, County policies and internal controls; develop and improve financial processes and reporting.
