Job summary

Palace Theatre Arts Commons seeks a Director of Operations to provide leadership, financial stewardship, and strategic oversight for its London, Ontario cultural venue. You will work with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and partners to sustain programs and growth.

The role covers budgeting, operational management, IT systems, facilities, and community engagement, with a focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and long-term impact for PTAC’s artistic mission.

Qualifications

• Experience leading nonprofit/arts organizations.
• Experience managing budgets and organizational operations.
• Experience working with Boards of Directors or other governing bodies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and public-speaking abilities and strong people-management skills.
• Technologically confident and able to operate and optimize organizational systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational leadership and translate strategic vision into measurable goals.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, controls, and sustainability planning.
• Manage venue operations, concessions, front-of-house, and health/safety compliance.
• Oversee IT, ticketing, scheduling, and other key software systems.
• Support marketing, community engagement, and donor relations.
• Lead staff and volunteers, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture.
