Job summary

GTR Worldwide is seeking a Finance and Insurance Office Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure accurate processing, and deliver high-quality customer service. The role includes coaching staff, approving transactions, and driving process improvements.

Ideal candidates will have a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience, at least two years in finance/insurance operations, and strong skills in leadership, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in finance, accounting, or insurance office operations, including supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with accounting and office software, including spreadsheets and database applications.
• Working knowledge of financial recordkeeping, reconciliation, and internal control best practices.
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of finance and insurance office staff, including scheduling and workload assignment.
• Review and approve financial transactions, reconciliations, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control procedures.
• Coach, train and evaluate team members; conduct performance feedback and support professional development.
• Prepare operational reports, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Handle escalated client inquiries and complex account issues, liaising with other departments as necessary.
