Job summary

Coeur Mining is seeking an entry-level finance professional for the Rainy River mine in northwestern Ontario. The role reports to the Finance Controller and offers exposure to multiple finance functions within a dynamic team.

Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off, then 4 days on / 3 days off. Anticipated salary range is CAD 55,000 to 65,000, with health and dental benefits and a quarterly incentive program. Residential mine site lifestyle and cross-cultural collaboration are part of the experience.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or GED required.
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting preferred.
  • Previous experience in an office environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and process invoices.
  • Process employee expense claims.
  • Reconcile vendor monthly statements.
  • File and catalog old AP invoices.
  • Fill out asset forms with required information.
  • Perform various administrative tasks and ad hoc projects.

Rainy River

Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.

The Rainy River mine, located adjacent to the Ontario/Minnesota border is 65 kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.

Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. About The Role

Position Overview

This position is an entry level position within the finance department. The successful applicant will be exposed to a variety of functions within the Finance department.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position will be between $55,000 to 65,000.
