Job summary

Grand River Personnel Limited in Waterloo Region is seeking a Finance Associate responsible for Accounts Receivable and Sales Commissions on a one-year contract. You will collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to accurately calculate commissions and manage receivables.

The role offers a salary between 55,000 and 60,000 CAD, vacation, and benefits, with SAP experience as a mandatory requirement. You will contribute to month-end activities and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP is required.

• Contact customers via phone and email for collection of overdue balances.
• Understand monthly sales commission plans for sales reps and calculate payments.

Our client in Waterloo Region is looking for a Finance Associate, with responsibility for Accounts Receivable and Sales Commissions, to join their team in a one (1) year contract position!

As an experienced finance professional, your job is two-fold! With your experience, you are able to jump into this fast-paced environment and work with the Customer Service and Sales teams, to accurately calculate sales commissions and process accounts receivables!

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivables and incoming payments as per company policies.
• Create receivables aging report and analyze customer accounts.
• Investigate account discrepancies and resolve unauthorized deduction as per procedure.
• Assist with month end, quarter end and year end reporting and audits.
• Identify issues with billing, pricing, deductions or other customer service areas
• Contact customers via phone and email for collection of overdue balances.
• Ability to understand the monthly sales commission plans for sales reps.
• Accurately calculate quarterly payments, monthly commission payments, co-op payments and rebates, in an accurate and timely way
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies, reconcile accounts as required
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with finance/ sales teams and external customers.
• Identity reporting issues, reconcile variances and document to support decisions
• Special projects and other duties as required.
• Experience with SAP is a MUST
