Job summary

Umicore in Markham, ON is seeking a Finance professional to join our accounting team in a replacement role. You will handle financial accounting, reconciliations, and month-end processes, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Receivable, and supporting internal controls and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Finance, experience with SAP or similar ERP, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP/accounting systems.
• Progress toward CPA designation is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate disbursements and reconciliations.
• Review Accounts Receivable ledgers to ensure proper payment and credit application.
• Prepare journal entries for non-cash transactions and month-end accruals.
• Support internal controls and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the Finance function.
