Job summary

360 Boring Services Inc. in Timmins is seeking an experienced Field Welder to join our team. The role requires at least five years of welding experience, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments, and the ability to perform field repairs with limited supervision.

Work at various customer and mine sites with shift work, extended hours, and travel as required. Red Seal/456A is a strong asset; SMAW/FCAW welding skills are essential, along with strong reading of drawings and safety

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of welding experience is required.
  • Red Seal / 456A Welder certification is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with heavy equipment repair is strongly preferred.
  • Mining and/or heavy industrial experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
  • Experience with air arc gouging and cutting.
  • Strong fitting, fabrication, and repair skills.
  • Ability to read drawings and work from measurements and specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with limited supervision.
  • Strong commitment to quality workmanship and safe work practices.
  • Valid driver's licence required.
  • Ability to travel to customer and mine sites as required.
  • Ability to work shifts, extended hours, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding repairs on heavy mining and construction equipment
  • Complete structural repairs, crack repairs, and component rebuilds
  • Perform fitting, cutting, welding, and air arc gouging
  • Remove and install wear plates, liners, and other wear components
  • Inspect equipment and identify additional repair requirements
  • Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and scopes of work
  • Complete repairs in accordance with company and customer requirements
  • Maintain welding machines, service trucks, tools, and equipment
  • Complete required job and safety documentation
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and other trades
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all company and customer health and safety policies and procedures
  • Successful candidates must be able to satisfy applicable company and customer site-access, fitness-for-duty and safety requirements.

360 Boring Services Inc. is a Timmins-based company specializing in heavy equipment repair, welding, align boring, fabrication, sandblasting and painting, and field services for the mining and heavy industrial sectors.

The Position

360 Boring Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Welder to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of welding experience, preferably in mining, heavy equipment, or industrial environments. This position requires someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, takes pride in their workmanship, and is comfortable completing repairs in the field with limited supervision.

Field Welders will work at various customer and mine sites and must be available for shift work, extended hours, and travel when required.
