Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd in Barrie is seeking a Field Truck & Coach Technician to repair and maintain truck and coach equipment in the field. You will diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and ensure work is completed to high safety and quality standards.

The role requires Journeyperson status in Truck & Coach and experience with CAT, Cummins, and PACCAR engines, plus strong electrical diagnostic skills and a customer‑service mindset.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson certification in Truck & Coach trade.
• Experience with CAT, Cummins and PACCAR engines.
• Electrical diagnosis / aftertreatment knowledge.
• Strong customer service mindset and teamwork.
• Clear communication with engineers and service team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate working condition, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems safely.
• Document all machine information, actions taken, and time on work orders.
• Ensure safety standards are met and work performed with quality.
• Use parts catalogs to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
• Road test equipment and verify attachment operation as required.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to address warranty requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
