Job summary

Metro Testing Group is seeking Field Materials Testing Technicians for our Terrace, BC office. This full-time permanent position includes benefits after 3 months and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities include traveling to job sites, sampling and testing concrete and aggregate, recording results, and liaising with clients and site personnel. The role requires 8+ years of Materials Testing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 23 kilos.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience as a Materials Testing Technician.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 23 kilos / 50 lbs.
• Experience in Concrete Testing and Soil Testing is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ethics.

Responsibilities

• Travelling to job sites to sample and test concrete and aggregate.
• Recording and reporting results.
• Liaising with clients and site personnel.
• Troubleshooting real time compliance issues in the field and monitoring non-compliance protocols.
