Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician for our Calgary, AB location. The role involves approximately 75% travel, including overnight stays, to support our customers with hydraulics, lubrication, and fluid power expertise, helping us support and expand our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety standards and promote safety culture
- Collaborate within a team to deliver high-quality service
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Coordinate and perform lubrication and fluid power field service work, including installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Work with shop administrators to accurately quote services
- Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of service vehicles and equipment
- Manage inventory, equipment, and consumables
- Perform project work such as building, testing, and commissioning power units and mobile equipment
- Travel to customer sites and work out of town as needed
- Troubleshoot systems and components
- Install and flush hydraulic systems and automated lubrication systems
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years hydraulic repair experience, preferably in field service
- Background in lubrication preferred; training available
- Welding and DC wiring experience are assets
- Relevant certifications are assets
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret codes, standards, and drawings
- Customer service orientation and attention to detail
- Proficiency with business software and learning new applications
