Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Canada Remote

Partner with the best

The Field Specialist coordinates and oversees work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer. You will plan the job, including instructions to the crew and equipment used. You will coordinate the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for the next job.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform installation and/or maintenance activities of turbo rotating equipment at customer sites with some autonomy.
  2. Responsible for minor/major maintenance of equipment following quality checklists and procedures.
  3. Act as the primary contact with the customer representative and site team to coordinate activities.
  4. Maintain records of all activities at the customer site and promote good team relations.
  5. Follow all safety and procedural requirements during all activities.
  6. Perform troubleshooting on equipment under maintenance or installation in the field.
  7. Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes core values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).
Qualifications
  • Two-year technical degree preferred, with industry experience and Turbomachinery Product Services training required.
  • At least 2 years of experience with mechanical maintenance procedures for turbo machinery such as gas turbines or centrifugal compressors.
  • Strong functional/technical, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

We offer flexible working patterns, including working hours needed by the customer, with 50-75% travel and 50-60 hours per week when required.
