Mechanical Field Service Engineer - Canada (Remote)

Partner with the best

The Field Specialist coordinates and oversees work at the field site, providing quality service to the customer. You will plan the job, including instructions to the crew and equipment used. You will coordinate the clean-up, repair, and preparation of equipment for subsequent jobs.

As a Field Specialist Mechanical, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing installation and/or maintenance activities of Turbo Rotating equipment at customer sites autonomously.
  • Performing minor/major maintenance following quality checklists and procedures.
  • Being the primary contact for coordinating activities with the Customer Representative and Site Team.
  • Providing records of activities to Baker Hughes Supervisors and maintaining good team relations.
  • Executing all responsibilities safely, following all processes and procedures.
  • Performing other related duties as required, including limited troubleshooting.
  • Conducting all activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).

Fuel your passion

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have a two-year technical degree (preferred) and industry experience, with turbomachinery product training required.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience with mechanical maintenance of turbo machinery such as gas turbines or centrifugal compressors.
  • Possess functional/technical skills, customer focus, communication, interpersonal, and teamworking skills.
  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.

  • Working hours as needed by the customer, including 50-75% travel and 50-60 hours per week when required.
