Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Technician with 2+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Desktop Support - Remote, Service Desk, and Field Services. This role requires a proactive individual who can work effectively during the day shift and is open to travel as needed. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our projects and ensuring seamless technical operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify relevant knowledge documents and support materials to troubleshoot issues.
  2. Learn about technology deployments and their alignment with business strategies.
  3. Explain general navigation to customers; translate technical terms for non-technical users.
  4. Seek opportunities to improve knowledge of technologies.
  5. Understand and adhere to IM processes and policies.
  6. Use correct knowledge documents to support and resolve issues.
  7. Escalate requests/issues appropriately.
  8. Clarify customer asks by active listening and reflection.
  9. Perform rounds and complete required documentation.
  10. Use instrumentation and physical checks to monitor systems.
  11. Respond to and resolve incidents affecting operations.
  12. Perform physical build-outs, including installing devices and low voltage cabling.
  13. Assist in defining post orders for local security staff.
  14. Manage defects through own and supporting organizations.
  15. Follow procedures for data collection and management for security audits.
  16. Perform maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
  17. Oversee on-site vendors during maintenance activities.
  18. Follow all safety guidelines consistently.
  19. Interpret and apply security standards to work tasks.
  20. Understand security risks and implications when evaluating solutions.
  21. Stay knowledgeable about current security controls.
  22. Complete tasks within agreed timeframes following procedures and protocols.
  23. Convey critical information promptly to decision-makers.
  24. Conduct diagnostic steps to identify root causes.
  25. Test to confirm issue resolution.
  26. Identify solutions and evaluate their pros and cons.
  27. Follow up to ensure problems are fully resolved.
