The Opportunity

Responsible for providing quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical knowledge to customers. Performs tasks related to testing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and reconditioning hydraulic components and rotating assemblies on customer sites or in a shop environment.

The Role

• Complete dismantling and inspection of components, and prepare comprehensive service reports with accurate measurements.
• Build, repair, service, and troubleshoot hydraulic components and rotating assemblies.
• Test rebuilt components or systems to ensure acceptable results.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work area to ensure safety, performing cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
• Machining of components on Mill and Lathe.
• Respond to field service calls, with potential for up to 2 weeks on-site.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested.

The Candidate

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Mechanics, Hydraulics, Millwright, or equivalent experience.
• Fluid Power Training is an asset.
• Machining knowledge (e.g., lathe, milling machine).
• Fabrication experience and basic electrical knowledge are assets.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty tools and equipment.
• Mechanically inclined with good learning capacity.
• Ability to work safely alone or in a team on customer sites.
• Effective communication of technical issues.
• Service and team-oriented mindset.
