Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Resident Field Technician for the Brooks and surrounding area, reporting to our Calgary branch.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry-based equipment and attachments.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Efficiently evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and perform repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
  2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  3. Utilize related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  4. Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
  5. Continuously assess hazards associated with service tasks and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  6. Use computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspections, and diagnosis.
  7. Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
  8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
