Job summary

Connexa Group in Calgary, AB is seeking a Survey Assistant to support field crews on oilfield and construction survey projects across Western Canada. You will set up GPS equipment, collect data and assist the party chief while communicating clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site.

This role requires a high school diploma, familiarity with survey crews, ability to work outdoors in all seasons, travel up to 21 days, and certifications like First Aid, H2S Alive or CSTS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Interest in geomatics is a plus.
• Familiarity with survey crews and outdoor work on industrial sites is desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 21 days for field rotations across Western Canada.
• Certifications such as First Aid, H2S Alive or CSTS (or equivalent) are preferred.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to pass drug/alcohol tests.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support party chief on oilfield and construction survey projects across Western Canada.
• Set up and look after GPS and survey equipment.
• Collect survey data and assist field tasks as directed by the party chief.
• Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site.
• Follow safety protocols and help keep the site safe.
