Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Healthcare Field Supervisor based in Burnaby to provide 24/7 security support across Lower Mainland healthcare sites. The role includes incident management, training, quality control, and KPI-related responsibilities from the Burnaby office and Operations Centre.

You will visit sites, develop and evaluate security programs, and ensure staff adherence to guidelines and privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in incident management and security operations.
• Able to develop and evaluate security programs and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary afterhours representative for Paladin Security, coordinating with health authorities and responders.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate security programs, Post Orders, and OH&S-related policies.
• Ensure adherence to guidelines, standards, and privacy regulations.
• Support Healthcare Security Officers afterhours and coordinate scheduling with the Security Operations Centre.
• Compile monthly statistics and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Lead and mentor Site Managers, Supervisors, and Officers; conduct incident investigations.

Overview

Our Healthcare Field Supervisors are responsible for 24/7 support of our healthcare sites throughout the Lower Mainland. In this role, you will be based in our Burnaby office and Operations Centre, and will be visiting sites for incident management, training, quality control, contract KPI, special projects, etc.

Job Skills / Requirements

Pay Rate: $26.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the primary representative for Paladin Security afterhours, including but not limited to, working closely with Health Authority stakeholders, emergency responders, and other authorities for security-related matters.
• Assists in developing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating our overall security program, including Post Orders, Policy & Procedure Manuals, and OH&S programs
• Ensure security staff adhere to all guidelines, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support all Healthcare Security Officers afterhours, including Security Operations Centre and Scheduling with responsibilities delegated to them.
• Compile accurate monthly statistics or as requested by the Healthcare Operations Manager
• Provide recommendations for security and safety improvements
• Assist in the scheduling, training, coaching, mentoring and overall support for Site Managers, Site Supervisors, Shift Supervisors and Security Officers afterhours
• Conduct incidents investigations as required
• Other duties as needed to meet operational demands

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of work experience in the security industry, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Minimum of one year of supervisory, management, or other leadership experience
• Must have a Class 5 BC Driver's License and clean drivers abstract
• Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy
• Strong communication skills, both in writing and verbally, including delivering presentations to groups
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment
• Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to lead, plan, organize, delegate and problem solve
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, which includes the completion of use of force training, patrolling up and down stairs, and more
