Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a Mobile Healthcare Security Guard in Cranbrook, BC. This full-time, on-site role pays CA$24.48 per hour with an 11:00–19:00 shift, and a second shift 19:00–03:00.

You will escort medical teams and patients, patrol facilities, and maintain a visible security presence across regional healthcare sites. Required qualifications include BC Security License, BC Class 5 driver’s license, First Aid/CPR/AED, and a high school diploma or GED.

Schedule: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm; second shift 7:00 pm to 3:00 am

Site Overview

This role serves key healthcare facilities across the Cranbrook region. Our healthcare security operations focus on maintaining a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for medical staff, patients, and visitors across all local sites.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Mobile Healthcare Security Guard, your main priority is safely transporting medical teams and patients and protecting local healthcare facilities. Your day-to-day duties include:

• Safely escorting medical teams and patients to and from healthcare facilities throughout the region.
• Patrolling regional healthcare facilities to ensure property is secure and accessible.
• Maintaining a visible, professional, and approachable security presence.
• Responding promptly to incidents, disturbances, and hospital emergency codes.
• Using de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention techniques to manage aggressive behavior.
• Writing clear, detailed incident reports and logs to help address security concerns and improve site safety.

Must Haves

• Valid BC Security License
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
• Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong spoken and written communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to stay calm, professional, and empathetic in high-stress situations
• Physical ability to perform duty requirements, including standing, walking, and responding to emergency calls
• Completion of required training and certifications before site deployment

Nice-to-Haves

• Previous experience in a healthcare security environment
• Familiarity with hospital emergency codes and procedures
