We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment in hospital settings. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that critical diagnostic and therapeutic devices function safely and effectively, supporting frontline healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, calibrate, and service a range of medical equipment (e.g., imaging systems, patient monitors, infusion devices) on-site at hospitals
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize equipment downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CSA, Health Canada, ISO)
- Provide training and technical support to clinical and biomedical staff
- Maintain accurate service records and document all work in compliance with internal and external standards
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate service visits and escalate complex issues
- Stay current on product updates, new technologies, and safety protocols
Qualifications :
- Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment in clinical or hospital environments
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and hospital safety standards
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-stakes settings
- Valid driver’s license + car and willingness to travel within region
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual (English and French)
