Job summary

Alliance Technical Group is seeking a Field Services Technician to join our growing team in Calgary, AB. You will install, service and maintain Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and process analytic systems at industrial facilities, troubleshooting diverse equipment and supporting customers on-site and remotely.

The role requires a strong electronics background, 2+ years of experience, and a willingness to travel 50-75% overnight.

Qualifications

• AS degree or military experience in electronics, instrumentation, or equivalent
• 2+ years of electronics experience
• Solid ability to troubleshoot systems with various test equipment
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods
• Able to climb ladders and operate at heights up to 200 feet
• Willing to work outdoors in industrial environments
• Flexible schedule and able to pass an MVR
• Proven top performer and team player

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain CEMS and process analytic systems at industrial facilities
• Troubleshoot system issues on electronic, pneumatic, pumps and other components
• Average 50-75% overnight travel to customer sites (Mon-Fri)
• Participate in on-call rotation, including some weekends after training
• Provide technical support via telephone and the internet

In the typical workday as a Field Services Technician, you will provide direct support to customers by completing a variety of work, such as new installations, troubleshooting and repairing system issues, maintaining, and servicing Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) at industrial facilities. In this role, you might find yourself working with a team or individually, depending on the project. As a Field Services Technician, you will

• Install, service, repair, and maintain Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and process analytic systems for industrial customers at their facility
• Troubleshoot system issues on electronic, pneumatic, pumps, and other components for proper system operation
• Average 50-75% overnight travel to customer site typically Monday - Friday
• Participate in the on-call rotation, which may occasionally include some weekends, will be required upon completion of training
• Provide technical support via telephone and the internet

What You'll Need

• A.S. degree or military experience in electronics, instrumentation, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of electronics experience
• Solid ability to troubleshoot systems with various test equipment
• Ability to work in physically demanding situations that may require you to lift 50 pounds unassisted, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, etc.
• Ability to climb and be comfortable operating at heights up to or over 200 feet
• Ability to work in enclosed spaces
• Flexible schedule
• Able to pass an MVR
• Proven top performer and team player in past positions
• Must be willing to work outdoors in industrial environments
