Job summary

CLEANTEK Industries Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician in Canada to service and maintain all CLEANTEK equipment at assigned client sites.

You will be the first point of contact, respond to service calls, perform on-site visits within 24 hours, document inspections and updates, and ensure safety and compliance. This role requires independence, strong problem-solving, and excellent customer service as you train customers, manage loads for transport, support special projects, and help grow

Qualifications

  • Must understand safety regulations applicable to client sites.
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with hand tools, drills and volt meters.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
  • TDG, First Aid, H2S, WHMIS/GHS tickets are assets.

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact when customer receives equipment.
  • Respond to service calls and client requests on site within 24 hours.
  • Submit documentation: inspections, deployment sheets, safety documents.
  • Monitor fleet health and asset performance.
  • Train customers on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Bi-weekly site visits for equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure safe transport of equipment and secure loads.
  • On-site service, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot.
  • Support special projects as required.
  • Maintain tools and company equipment and foster client relations.

Position Summary

Reporting to the
OperationsManager, Canada,the individual in theFieldServiceTechnicianroleis responsible forservicing andmaintainingallCLEANTEKequipment. TheField Service Technicianis fully and solely responsible for the client sites assigned to them. This role has a high degree of control and authority in managing equipment on client sites.

This is a dynamic role that will evolve to fit the needs of a quickly growing company. The incumbent will be a highly motivated and effective problem solver with a strong focus on customer service. The individual will thrive in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • First point of contact when customer receives equipment
  • All service calls and client requests must be answeredimmediatelywithin your area (weekends, evenings and holidays are not exempt)
  • Responses to all service calls and client requests must be made on site within 24 hours
  • Supporting documentation following all service calls and site visits isrequired. Documentation includes but is not limitedto:equipment inspections, deployment sheets, transportation sheets, JSA’s/ safety documents, updating customer contact information, and updating sales team
  • Submit daily reporting on assets and asset’s performance
  • Monitor “Fleet Complete” todeterminehealth of equipment on site
  • Train customers (all shifts) on the proper use of the equipment and maintenance
  • Bi-weekly site visits arerequiredfor equipment maintenance; this schedule is managed independently with the expectation that assets are managedin accordance withthe company’s policies and customer satisfaction is maintained
  • When required to transport equipment with company assets, you willbe responsible forsecuring loads and verifying safe transport with all required documentation verified
  • Provide on-site service of equipment, discussing issues with consultant, inspectingequipmentand troubleshooting all issues
  • Participate in special projects asrequired
  • Responsible for the maintenance of tools and company equipment (including but not limited to company vehicle, computers, voltmeter, field kit, etc.)
  • Foster professional relationships with clients, external vendors, and consultants
  • Understand client’s equipment needs andidentifypotential up-sale opportunities
  • Adhere to all safety requirements both internal and external
  • Promote andmaintainthe organization’s brand image by keeping your appearance, workareaand vehicle tidy.
Specific Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities
  • Must be knowledgeable of current safety regulations (including client’s sites)
  • Basic knowledge of: AC/DC electrical systems, hydraulic systems, engine maintenance (oil changes, changing air filters, replacing fuel pumps, etc.)
  • Experience with hand tools,drillsand volt meters
  • Work with a high degree of independence; must be a self-starter
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
Education, Training, and Experience
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalentrequired
  • Some electrical and/or mechanical training preferred
  • Previousexperience in Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • TDG, First Aid, H2S, WHMIS/GHS Tickets an asset.
Special Conditions of Employment
  • Valid driver’s license without restrictions
  • Occasional lifting and standing
  • Flexibility to work over-time as needed
  • As part of the on-going training, you will be expected to support the service department (Calgary/Clairmont), to increase your knowledge ofCLEANTEK’s equipment.
