Job summary

itec group Inc. is seeking a Field Service Specialist to service and commission custom automation at customer facilities. This role suits an experienced technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and hands-on machine assembly experience.

You will install, commission, and troubleshoot automated machinery, perform preventative maintenance, read schematics and drawings, and provide on-site training and support. Travel up to 50% and occasional overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Field Service/maintenance within industrial manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with automated machinery or industrial automation systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Experience with PLCs is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and troubleshoot custom automation at customer facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Read and interpret schematics and drawings to identify issues.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Assembly, and Controls teams.
• Travel to customer sites for service calls and commissioning.
• Prepare detailed service reports documenting repairs and parts used.
