New Flyer is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service a diverse fleet of buses across Canada and the U.S. You will engage in comprehensive diagnostics, HVAC maintenance, electrical work, and high-voltage system repairs.

You will mentor junior mechanics, support on-site customer service, and travel up to 50% of the time. A strong safety mindset and relevant certifications are required for success.

Qualificações

• Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role, preferably with heavy-duty transit buses or trucks.
• Experience with diesel engines, driveline components, electrical systems, and EV maintenance.
• Proficiency with shop tools and diagnostic devices for repairs.
• Certification as 310T Truck & Coach Technician or Red Seal preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and repair diesel, electric, and hydrogen propulsion systems.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems for passenger comfort and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems and drivetrains.
• Perform fleet vehicle inspections and ensure safety certifications.
• Mentor junior mechanics and support team development.
• Stay updated on new technologies and apply best practices.
