Job summary

NFI Group, a leading global bus manufacturer, is seeking an Engineer for field service and product support. You will determine root causes, document retrofits, and assist field teams across Canada and the US. Travel up to 10% may be required, with a focus on safety and reliability of transit solutions.

The role emphasizes engineering judgment, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing product training to stay current with vehicle systems and service Bulletins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology Diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) eligible.
• Experience with air brakes, engines, transmissions, and general troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions for field issues.
• Document and issue retrofits instructions for field staff.
• Support field staff across departments and suppliers as needed.
• Answer calls from customers and field staff to resolve issues.
• Provide updated information to Technical Publications for manuals.
