East Penn Canada is seeking an Industrial Field Service Technician to service and repair battery systems at customer sites across the Laval region. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a technical service role, preferably in the field.
• Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience identifying sales opportunities (upselling/cross-selling).
• Safety-conscious, able to follow site rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily to customer locations to inspect batteries and chargers and prepare service reports.
• Test, inspect and determine maintenance needs for material handling batteries.
• Perform preventative maintenance including washing, neutralization and watering as required.
• Complete minor repairs on cables, connectors, and watering systems.
• Document results and communicate findings to customer contacts.
• Support in-shop activities like pre-delivery inspections and installations.
• Maintain service vehicle and monitor stock levels for parts and tools.
• Identify upsell opportunities based on service findings.
