Job summary

D & V Electronics Ltd. is seeking a skilled technical support engineer to assist customers worldwide, handling tickets, on-site visits, and remote assistance.

You will debug electronic and electromechanical systems, train customers, install and calibrate testers, and collaborate with engineers and project managers while travelling as needed.

Qualifications

  • Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years in a technical support role.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for electronic systems.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all Zendesk tickets promptly.
  • Provide worldwide customer support via phone, email, TeamViewer, and on-site.
  • Document and track inquiries in the Tracking System database.
  • Assist in debugging and root cause analysis of prototype and standard machines, including PLC programs.
  • Create training materials and train customers on company products.
  • Install and commission new equipment.
  • Calibrate and verify testers.
  • Perform onsite maintenance and repair of testers.
  • Assist Project Managers with issues for FAT and SAT.
  • Validate and verify application performance on D&V products.
  • Process, monitor, and follow up on RMAs.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all Zendesk tickets are handled in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to customers worldwide via phone, email, TeamViewer, and on site.
  • Document, maintain, and follow up on all customer inquiries through the Tracking System database.
  • Assist in debugging, fault finding, and root cause analysis of prototype and standard machines, including system-level testing and PLC programs, both in-house and at the customer site.
  • Create training materials and train customers in the use of company products.
  • Install and commission new equipment.
  • Calibrate and verify testers.
  • Perform onsite maintenance and repair of testers.
  • Assist Project Managers with open issues on equipment both in-house and at customer sites for Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.) and Site Acceptance Tests (S.A.T.).
  • Validate and verify application performance on new and existing D&V Products as required.
  • Process, monitor, and follow up on the completion of RMAs as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Sc. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • 5+ years in a technical support role.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities for electronic, electromechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills and relationship building.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic circuit applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineers, programmers, and sales professionals.
  • Familiarity with automotive electromechanical systems and electronics is an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (drive and fly) to the USA and overseas.
  • Valid passport and driver's license.
