Job summary

Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. (VanPile) is seeking a Safety Advisor with 7–10+ years in marine and heavy civil construction to lead on-site safety, coach crews, and ensure COR and WorkSafeBC compliance while supporting safe project execution.

This role emphasizes hands-on field presence, incident investigations, and development of safe work plans across active worksites with a family-owned BC company.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of hands-on field safety experience in marine/heavy civil construction.
• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and COR management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety on active worksites, coaching crews and supervisors.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety observations to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; prepare clear reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain project safety plans, hazard assessments, and safe work procedures.
