Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. invites applications for a Project Coordinator to support industrial construction projects at Fort Saskatchewan. You will work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and support teams to ensure timely procurement, documentation, and reporting.

The role emphasizes organizational excellence, teamwork, and effective communication. Travel to site locations is required, and the position is based on a 10-on/4-off schedule with 10-hour days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Navisworks or other 3D model review software is an asset.
• Exposure to piping, mechanical, or industrial construction projects is an asset.
• Familiarity with project controls, procurement, document control or construction coordination processes is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel and support site-based project execution.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procurement activities, including creating and tracking purchase requisitions.
• Support project reporting through data collection, analysis, and dashboards.
• Maintain project documentation, logs and filing systems.
• Coordinate drawing reviews and distribution of project information.
• Support material tracking, vendor coordination and logistics.
• Assist with scheduling, progress tracking and performance reporting.
• Utilize SAP for procurement-related project documentation.
• Support review of drawings and construction models using Navisworks.
• Assist with field coordination for piping, mechanical, and quality teams.
