Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Ottawa is seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative to drive sales of heavy equipment parts and service and to provide after-sales support to new and existing customers in the construction and forestry sectors. You will develop relationships, promote programs, visit customers regularly, and work with Parts and Service teams to increase profitability and market share.

A valid driver’s license and 2–3 years of sales experience are preferred; journeyman Red Seal

Qualifications

• 2–3 years sales experience in a similar role or Parts/Service department
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Journeyman/Red Seal in Parts or Service is an asset
• Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract
• Knowledge of heavy equipment parts, operations, and industry
• Positive, professional attitude
• Willingness to travel within assigned territories

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales and satisfaction
• Assist Parts & Service departments to improve profitability and performance
• Prospect and call new accounts; discuss promotions and programs
• Implement yearly territory plan to maximize sales potential
• Visit customers in the area of responsibility (minimum 1 per month)
• Keep customers informed on new products and services
• Develop prospective customers (target ~2 per month)
• Follow up on unit and machine performance with customers
• Maintain and update customer databases and records
• Collaborate with management to meet budget goals and expand the customer base
• Gather competitive product and pricing information for management
• Participate in required training and development
• Address customer concerns and escalate to management as needed
• Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and routine maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned
