Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking an Outside Parts and Service Representative for our Fort McMurray Construction and Forestry location. This outside sales role focuses on promoting and selling heavy equipment parts and service, with after-sales support to customers.

Responsibilities include building strong customer relationships, supporting Parts & Service profitability, and executing territory plans while traveling within the assigned area.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years sales experience in a similar role or in Parts/Service departments.
• Exemplary customer service skills required.
• Excellent communication skills essential.
• Strong time management to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong decision-making ability and flexibility for travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to increase sales and satisfaction.
• Assist Parts & Service departments to improve profitability and performance.
• Prospect and cold call new accounts; plan yearly territory strategy.
• Visit customers at least monthly within Area of Responsibility.
• Keep customers informed on new products and services.
• Develop prospective customers (target of 2 per month).
• Follow up on unit and equipment performance with customers.
• Maintain and use customer records including meetings, quotes and notes.
• Collaborate with management to meet budget goals and expand customer base with new marketing strategies.
• Gather competitive product and pricing information for management.
• Participate in training and development opportunities.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with Management.

Brandt is currently seeking an Outside Parts and Service Representative for our Fort McMurray Construction and Forestry location. This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting and selling Heavy Equipment parts and service, as well as providing after sales support to new and existing customers.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction
• Assist the Parts & Service departments to increase profitability and performance
• Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts to discuss new promotions and programs Implement yearly territory plan including a customer target list to maximize sales potential
• Visit customers in Area of Responsibility (AOR); a minimum of 1 visit per month
• Keep customers current on new products and services
• Develop prospective customers with a goal of 2 per month
• Follow-up with customers on unit and machine performance
• Maintain and utilize the database records related to each customer including sales meetings, opportunities, quotes, notes, and any other documentation as required
• Work cooperatively with management to meet and maximize budget goals and expand customer base by presenting and implementing new marketing strategies
• Gather competitive product and pricing information and supply to management
• Participate in all required training and development opportunities
• Follow up on customer concerns and communicate effectively to the appropriate Management Team
• Maintain cleanliness, scheduled maintenance, and inventory for the company vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

What We Look For

• 2 - 3 years previous of sales experience in a similar role, or in a Parts or Service Department
• Journeyman ticket/Red Seal in Parts or Service is considered an asset
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract will be required
• Exemplary customer service skills

• Knowledge of construction and forestry parts, operations, and industry
• Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude towards internal and external situations
