Job summary

A leading materials testing company is seeking a Field Materials Testing Technician in Fraser Valley, Abbotsford. This is a hands-on role requiring travel to various construction sites to conduct material tests and ensure compliance with industry standards. No experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided. The role offers a starting wage of $21/hr, benefits after three months, and opportunities for career advancement after 6-12 months. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be physically capable of lifting weights of up to 23 kgs.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle necessary.
• Experience as a General Labour/assistant is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Test concrete before the pour to meet specifications.
• Use Nuclear Densometer to measure density and moisture content.
• Interpret test results and produce reports.
• Build relationships with site personnel.
• Travel to job sites in east Fraser Valley.

Skills

Interest in Construction Materials Testing

Good command of the English language

Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kgs / 50 lbs

Education

Graduate of a civil engineering diploma/certificate program
