Job summary
A leading materials testing company is seeking a Field Materials Testing Technician in Fraser Valley, Abbotsford. This is a hands-on role requiring travel to various construction sites to conduct material tests and ensure compliance with industry standards. No experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided. The role offers a starting wage of $21/hr, benefits after three months, and opportunities for career advancement after 6-12 months. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be physically capable of lifting weights of up to 23 kgs.
Qualifications
No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle necessary.
Experience as a General Labour/assistant is an asset.
Responsibilities
Test concrete before the pour to meet specifications.
Use Nuclear Densometer to measure density and moisture content.
Interpret test results and produce reports.
Build relationships with site personnel.
Travel to job sites in east Fraser Valley.
Skills
Interest in Construction Materials Testing
Good command of the English language
Ability to lift and control weights up to 23 kgs / 50 lbs
Education
Graduate of a civil engineering diploma/certificate program
