Job Details
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
- Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards from the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints according to Innomar policies and procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and clinics KPIs, based on the employment agreement.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, etc.) to meet scheduling timelines.
- Coordinate with Patients/Caregivers for appointments and drug delivery to home and clinic.
- Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
- Attend specialized client training as required.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and Innomar guidelines.
- Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation to RPN/LPN as authorized.
- Travel within designated IBUs to meet operational needs.
- Follow all nursing and clinic SOPs and work instructions.
- Comply with provincial Health and Safety standards.
- Complete ongoing and annual training within specified timeframes.
- Perform other duties as required by Innomar.
- Be available on standby/on call if needed.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse.
- At least 1 year of IV initiation experience.
- Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings.
- Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA, and central venous line experience are assets.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and internet access.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel within the designated area.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Effective time management, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Self-directed with adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and insurance.
The successful candidate may have daily contact with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or peers from cross-functional teams.
