Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Field Heavy Equipment Technician for Swan River with reporting to Winnipeg Construction and Forestry location. The role involves repair and maintenance of construction and forestry equipment and attachments, using John Deere Service Advisor and various tools to ensure high performance.

Requirements include 3 years of relevant experience, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years' relevant experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Computer and technical aptitude for diagnostics and calibration.
• Diagnostic skills to understand repair needs.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Forklift operation; trade qualification asset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate working condition of equipment and diagnose issues.
• Assemble/disassemble and repair equipment; order parts as needed.
• Use instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems for repairs.
• Document all machine information, actions taken and time on work orders.
• Assess hazards and ensure work is performed safely to standards.
• Use John Deere Service Advisor to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
