Brandt Group of Companies is seeking a Field Heavy Equipment Technician - Material Handling in Winnipeg. The role independently performs diagnostics, service maintenance, and repair on customer and dealer-owned equipment, ensuring high-quality work and timely issue resolution.

The ideal candidate maintains knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, follows safety standards, and can mentor apprentices while contributing to service training.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand equipment systems.
• Trade qualification with relevant domain is a plus.
• Ability to mentor apprentices and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and complex diagnostics to determine repair needs.
• Carry out service maintenance and repair on material handling equipment.
• Record all work for customer and warranty records.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area; follow OH&S rules.
• Mentor and oversee apprentices and participate in training programs.
• Prepare reports and forms required for work orders.
