Levitt-Safety in Edmonton is seeking a hands-on Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect and service VFSS on heavy equipment and mining machinery. You’ll work both in the field and in our Edmonton shop, visiting customer sites and providing professional service.

The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and customer communication, with training provided for fire protection systems. Occasional travel and after-hours work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, or mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Hands-on, take‑it‑apart mindset.
• Customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• VFSS/fire protection experience is an asset; training provided.

Responsabilités

• Install, inspect, service and repair vehicle fire suppression systems (VFSS).
• Work on heavy equipment, vehicles and large mining machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
• Install and service fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.
• Visit customer sites and provide professional, reliable service.
• Travel out of town and participate in after-hours/on-call work as required.
• Support the Edmonton shop team when needed.
