Job summary

Englobe is seeking an environmental professional to join our dynamic team in Canada. You will perform fieldwork across groundwater, surface water, and soils, while adhering to health and safety policies on project sites and travel to diverse locations.

The role covers drilling coordination, data collection, report writing, and ensuring samples are properly documented and submitted to laboratories. A background in Environmental Sciences or related field and 0–3 years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Environmental Sciences, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 0–3 years' experience as an environmental consultant in environmental drilling and test pitting, soil and groundwater sampling.
• Experience with Phase I/One and II/Two ESAs; Excess Soil Management knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to learn laboratory and field-testing procedures.
• Eligible for Federal Government security clearance; Reliability or Secret clearance is a strong asset.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
• Able to work outdoors year-round; 3–5 days per week; travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Apply Englobe's health and safety policies on all project sites and work locations.
• Perform environmental fieldwork, including sampling groundwater, surface water, potable water, and sediments.
• Coordinate and carry out environmental drilling and test pit programs.
• Document field activities, compile data, and prepare technical reports using templates.
• Prepare laboratory chains of custody and coordinate sample submissions to laboratories.
• Maintain and operate field equipment, including calibration and maintenance.
• Apply regulatory requirements related to excess soils and contaminated sites.
• Support project execution with required administrative tasks, including timesheets.
