Job summary

EBC Inc. is seeking a Field Coordinator to support a major ICI project in North York. The role involves reading technical specifications, inspecting work daily, coordinating with the Project Manager and Superintendent, and organizing material orders while tracking progress.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of industry experience and a technical background with P.Eng./ CET or equivalent. Strong computer skills, written and oral communication, scheduling and cost-tracking abilities are essential,

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of industry experience in ICI projects.
  • Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng./ CET) or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.
  • Scheduling experience and cost tracking/reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Read technical and administrative project specifications.
  • Inspect work daily to ensure it meets standards.
  • Inform Project Manager of progress and coordinate with Superintendent.
  • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Site Superintendent.
  • Track quantities and costs for productivity analysis and forecasting.
  • Prepare daily crew progress and issue reports.
  • Assist in final project records, including as-builts.
  • Organize and participate in meetings to maintain communications.
  • Maintain communications between suppliers, subcontractors, professionals and client.
  • Carry out field duties at the job site related to the project.

Responsibilities
  • Read technical and administrative project specifications;
  • Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
  • Inform Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with him and the Superintendent;
  • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Site Superintendent;
  • Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
  • Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress and issues;
  • Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts;
  • Organize and participate in various meetings;
  • Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals and client;
  • Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of industry experience.
  • Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng./ CET) or combination of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Experience in ICI projects.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.
  • Scheduling experience and analysis skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Written/oral communications.
  • Problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Cost analysis, control, and reporting.
  • Valid Government of Canada security clearance or eligibility to obtain one, in accordance with project security requirements.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $60,000 - $105,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
